After a change of the director for the laboratory some processes weren't valid or funded anymore. They needed reassessing and made the implementation of new processes necessary.

Three main parts were implemented during the project starting phase:

  • procedure for the reservation of time slots as well as a client-wide use of application and billing for the processing of research material
  • usage of existing templates for the delivery of research material and documentation of needed tests
  • special code within the processing software for a quicker finding of the projects and processed material

The kick-off of the project led to projected extra revenue of ~40,000 Euro if number and prices (by house indicator) of processed materials would remain stable. The number of hours needed for the intake of the materials could be reduced by 10 hours per month.
